| Obituary of BETTY JANE DOUGHERTY |
| Betty Jane Dougherty, 67, Russell, died Wednesday,
November 13, 2001, at Russell Regional Hospital, Russell. She was born
May 13, 1934 in Barton County, the daughter of Christ and Esther Steinley
Hilgenberg. She lived her early life in the Dorrance area, receiving her early education there and graduating from Dorrance High School. After her marriage she helped her husband on the farm. Betty was a member of the Dubuque Lutheran Church, Dubuque. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, and a half brother, John Weimer. Survivors include: one son, Mitchel Dougherty, Russell; two daughters,
Vicki Dougherty and Joetta Powell, both of Russell; and two grandchildren. Memorials are suggested to Russell Public Library in care of Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell. |
