Funeral Card of RUTH SARAH DIETZ
RUTH SARAH DIETZ
Daughter of David R. and Sarah (Schwindt) Dumler was born July 22, 1910, at Milberger, Kansas, and departed this life Sept. 5, 1990, at Hadley Regional Medical Center, Hays, Kansas. Her age was 80 years, 1 month and 13 days.

Ruth was a lifelong resident of the Milberger and Russell communities. On February 7, 1932, she married Emil Dietz at Milberger.

She was a professional cook and homemaker. For ten years she was a cook at Lincoln School near Milberger. For five years she cooked for the O'Brien Cafe in Russell, and for many years she cooked for the nursing homes in Russell until her retirement in 1986.
She was well known for her community work. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Priscilla Circle, and of the Trinity Lutheran Aid Society.

To treasure and cherish her memory is her husband, Emil, of the home; Son, Gene Dietz, of Russel; two daughters, Merna Holkum of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Dorothy Dolechek of Hoisington; two brothers, Ferdinand Dumler of Russell and William Dumler of Aurora, Colorado; two sisters, Elma Brack of Galatia and Eulalia Titus of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services: Saturday, September 8, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. 
St. John Lutheran Church, Russell, Kansas.

Minister: Rev. James Strasen
Organist: Sandy Krug
Soloist: Rudy Parker "Nearer My God To Thee"
Casket bearers: LaVerne Dietz, Randy Dietz, Emanuel Dumler, Paul Maier, Melvin Brack and Laren Haselhorst.
Internment: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Milberger, Kansas
Service entrusted to: Cline-Pickens Funeral Home, Russell, Kansas
Contributions may be made to the Ruth Dietz Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
